Biography

From the beginning of my legal career, which started with mass and class action litigation in Houston, Texas to insurance defense litigation to special needs planning and elder law in Tulsa, I have developed a love for meeting clients where they are and solving whatever issue brings them to my office. I have moved from a litigation-focused practice to a planning practice where we craft solutions and plans to accomplish client goals. The crafting is enhanced by experience litigating estate plan designs that did not work or failed in the implementation. Understanding the means-tested government benefit programs and how the need for these impacts parents' estate plans and continuing to care for special needs children also enhances the planning services I provide to clients. I also focus on elder law issues, including adult guardianships, estate and trust administration and Medicaid planning which allows me to help the most vulnerable Oklahomans.

I'm married to a fellow Baylor graduate and have two adult children who matriculated through Tulsa Public Schools, graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and have flown the nest. We love to travel and with siblings spread all across the country, we have no shortage of great places to visit family. I have served on the Board of Trustees for the Junior League of Tulsa, National Charity League (Midtown chapter). We are active members at First Methodist Church of Tulsa and enjoy serving our community through volunteering regularly.
